On July 14th, Kelli Emmett and the Juliana crew came out to Fanatik Bike Co. in Bellingham, WA to put on one of their incredibly fun and inspiring Ride Out events. These gatherings bring together adventurous women for a day of learning, bonding, food, and of course, mountain biking! Find the next Ride Out in your area here.
The day started off with a wonderful early morning yoga class taught by Lacy Kemp, followed up by a delicious, healthy breakfast of fresh fruits and berries. The folks at Juliana worked hard to set up all of the bikes ahead of time, so after a quick change of clothes everyone was ready to hit the trails on Galbraith. The whole group had a great day on the mountain, stopping to check out various features, work on skills, and getting inspired by each other and the talented Juliana riders.
Afterwards, everyone was treated to a spectacular lunch catered by Cosmos Bistro. After talking with a number of the participants, I don't know that Fanatik and the 30+ participants could have asked for a better Saturday!
Organizing these events is a huge undertaking, and we are so grateful to everyone involved. Not only are they a great opportunity to learn about our favorite sport and meet new friends, but they are also a chance to try out some of the coolest, woman specific bikes out there, like the Juliana Strega and the Furtado. Chances are there's one planned near you, so check out the schedule here for upcoming Ride Outs!
Thank you so much to everyone involved in making this happen! We'll look forward to seeing you next year!
